If you’re looking for a beach access with slimmer crowds and plenty to do, look no further than Fort Macon State Park. Named after the historic fort on its grounds, Fort Macon State Park has over four square miles for you to explore, whether you’re a history buff or a beach lover! While there is plenty to do at the park, we love it for the beach and amenities!
With access to both the ocean and the inlet, you can spend your day fishing, swimming, surfing, or just soakin’ up the sun. On top of that, Fort Macon State Park is one of the few beach accesses in the area with free parking for guests. Free parking, concessions, and a clean shower complex–Fort Macon is one of Neuse Nation’s favorite places to spend the day!
