Scope of Position:

Neuse Sport Shop is currently seeking a Full Time Data Entry associate for our Kinston NC location. The Data Entry position is responsible for all data entry for purchase orders, firearm transfers, receiving of firearms, web calendar scheduling of classes and events, SeatMe program and other duties assigned. Must possess basic knowledge of all types of firearms. Must Pass Criminal background check and drug screening test.

Responsibilities Include:

• Enter raw data from Purchase Orders into an Inventory Management System.
• Communicate effectively with Buyers.
• Work closely with Manufacturer Representatives and Vendors.
• Review/ update receiving reports as needed while working closely with warehouse staff.
• Resolve issues pertaining to invoices.
• Must be proficient in cashier operations and act as backup cashier as needed.
• Create and update Auto Replenishment items as requested.
• Maintain productive relationships with established customers.
• Attend training as required. Special projects as assigned.
• Communicate in a professional and courteous manner with everyone.
• Maintain a well groomed, professional appearance at all times.
• Will report directly to the General Manager.
• Additional Responsibilities: As assigned.
• Schedule requirements: available to work during the hours 7am to 10pm weekends and holidays and any other time required by mgmt. Minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Proficient with office technology. Proficient in excel a must.
• Proficient computer skills. Type minimum of 50 words per minute with minimal errors.
• Able to navigate multiple programs and platforms simultaneously.
• Ability to carry out directives efficiently.
• Proficient with the handling of handguns, rifle and shotguns.
• Desire to learn new skills and accept responsibility.
• Highly self motivated/able to work without direction.
• Naturally friendly and positive daily attitude.
• Desire to learn new skills and accept responsibility.
• Able to lift 70 lbs, stand or sit for extended period of time.

Requirements:

• Capability to draw back a bow of 70 lbs. or more.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to complete basic mathematical equations.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Be professional in appearance and attitude, contribute to a positive team atmosphere and treat others with respect and consideration while following Neuse Sport Shop policies and procedures.

• ** Once hired, the Range Safety Officer must pass the NRA Certified Range Safety Officer test with a score of 90% or higher.
