Scope of Position:

Neuse Sport Shop is currently seeking a Full Time Bow Technician associate for our Kinston NC location. The Bow Tech will provide superior service in the repair and maintenance of archery bows to meet the service requests of the customer. This position will represent Neuse Sport Shop as a friendly, courteous and knowledgeable professional to all customers and fellow associates.

Responsibilities Include:

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting all customers within sales radius.
• Be knowledgeable to answer questions concerning location, price and use of merchandise.
• Stock Shelves, counters or tables with merchandise.
• Carefully follow instructions per specific requests of the customer, while maintaining safety requirements.
• Service bows including: setting up bows with accessories, tuning bows, repairing bows, and stringing bows.
• Communicate process of repair and suggestions for maintenance.
• Maintain an orderly and exceptionally clean appearance of personal work space, archery bench, back stock space and surrounding areas.
• Welcome, greet and address customers in friendly and courteous manner while providing prompt and outstanding services to customers.
• Contribute to a work environment that fosters pride in being part of a winning team and promotes personal growth.
• Run the Archery Range and any Archery Leagues associated with our range.
• Write Purchase Orders, communicate with Manufacturer Reps and work within a budget.

Requirements:

• Capability to draw back a bow of 70 lbs. or more.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to complete basic mathematical equations.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Be professional in appearance and attitude, contribute to a positive team atmosphere and treat others with respect and consideration while following Neuse Sport Shop policies and procedures.

• Must pass Medical evaluation for respirator usage.
• ** Once hired, the Range Safety Officer must pass the NRA Certified Range Safety Officer test with a score of 90% or higher.
